Columbia's Cavendish Wins prestigious Milan-San Remo Classic

SAN REMO, Italy (March 21, 2009) - Mark Cavendish, who won three stages of last year's Tour of Missouri, won the prestigious Milan to San Remo classic in Italy. The 23-year-old races for the American-based Team Columbia-High Road and is expected to return to Missouri this September with his club. Cavendish becomes the first Britishman since Tom Simpson in 1964. For more, go to www.velonews.com.
