AllCustom Apparel of Colorado
Springs, Colo., has been named the official licensee for on-site and web-based
merchandise, race organizers announced today.
The new line of merchandise can be viewed by going to tourofmissouri.com. The micro-site includes all the new items, designs, and a shopping cart.
“We’re excited about the new partnership
with the Tour of Missouri,” said All Custom Apparel Vice President Pat Brunk. “We’ve got some
great plans and look forward to it.”
The merchandise company has developed a new line of clothes, including a tongue-in-cheek t-shirt with an armadillo crossing sign, after national headlines were made when a cyclist hit one of the
roadside creatures.
“It’s done within the context of the
culture of the race,” said Steve Brunner, the tour’s marketing director. “Many
people remember a couple of indelible moments from the first year of the event,
and that was one of them. It’s unique to the race.”
