Welcome to Cape Girardeau, Missouri: "Where the River Turns a Thousand Tales"

The community of Cape Girardeau is so thrilled to have been chosen as a Stage Finish for the 2009 Tour of Missouri. This is our first time participating in the Tour and we couldn't be more excited.

"The Tour of Missouri has become an event that is attaining world-wide prominence. This event represents an outstanding opportunity to showcase the great State of Missouri as well as promote economic development in each of the participating communities. Lt. Governor Peter Kinder has been the champion of this event since its inception and we appreciate and applaud his efforts. This event will create a major buzz in and around our community and we consider it a real honor to be chosen as a host city for this most prestigious and exciting race. The city and all of our citizens look forward to rolling out the Red Carpet for all the racers and fans on their finish in Cape Girardeau!"
